Our Impact On the Community Through Empowerment

TEDI does not engage in economic development projects, but rather encourages, facilitates, and supports people undertaking such projects.

TEDI’s greatest impact on the people of Tanzania: empowerment through partnership and relationship instead of giving by “doing for.” We will be teaching people to fish rather than giving them fish.

Through TEDI Tanzanians and Americans will be able to put their faith into action. Our relationship will bear fruit, Mungu akipenda (kiswahili for, “God willing”)

Development of pilot projects to create sustainable economic development will initially focus on three regions of Tanzania: Arusha, Bukoba, and Dar Es Salaam.

There is potential to serve hundreds of families through projects using the abundant natural and human resources available in each of these regions.
